Praia da Falésia Açoteias

Ten kilometers from Albufeira is the second section of the Falésia beach. The parking lot is easy to find thanks to the good signage, but it is quite small. There is a small snack bar and in the summer months a small stall where you can buy towels, air mattresses and the like. Unfortunately there is no water sports provider at this section. The beach is often used by families, but also young couples like to come here to soak up the sun.

Praia da Falésia Alfamar

Nature lovers will get their money’s worth. Thanks to the red cliffs in the background, the sea shimmers nowhere as blue as here. This spot is perfect for water sports activities, but you have to bring your own equipment, because despite the perfect conditions there is no rental. Nearby the hotel ALFAMAR Beach & Sport Resort has a restaurant near the beach. Here you can strengthen yourself and use the sanitary facilities.

Praia Rocha Baixinha

The spot for all flirtatious people in the Algarve! Whether you are a Portuguese or a tourist, who is looking for a summer flirt will find it here. See and to be seen  is the motto here. You can easily reach the beach on foot, it is about 2 km south of Vilamoura or you drive by car, but here you have to take a small detour in purchasing.

In the summer months there is a sunset party every night. Already during the day the current summer hits are roaring out of the boxes of the beach bars and entertaining the swimmers of the dance. The sunset parties have the flair of festivals.

If it is too loud for you, choose the neighbour beach Praia de Rocha Baixinha Nascente.

The water sports offer leaves nothing to be desired, from surfing, windsurfing to kiting. This spot is also suitable for diving and snorkeling.

In addition, there are restaurants, bars and sanitary facilities and of course lifeguards who always keep a close eye.

Praia da Rocha Baixinha Nascente

Kilometers of sandy beach and a spectacular dune landscape there is the Praia da Rocha. Water sports enthusiasts will get their money’s worth, especially for surfing, this section is ideal. But also peace seekers will find an undisturbed place to relax and soak up the sun.

There are sanitary facilities and cafes and a variety of things to do that leave nothing to be desired. If you do not want to plunge into the water, you can explore the extensive sandy area on a walk.

Praia de Vilamoura

The Praia de Vilamoura is certainly one of the most popular beaches in the Algarve. At just under a kilometer you will find everything you need for the perfect beach day. Sun loungers and umbrellas, beach bars and restaurants offering everything from small snacks to full menus, water sports such as. Pedal boat or kayak and much more. The beach is easy to reach and in summer one of the hot spots of the Algarve. In the evenings, especially in July and August, even after sunset there is still party.

Praia de Quarteira

This beach is completely designed for tourism. All around, various hotels have settled, there are two restaurants and beach bars right on the beach, and a variety of cafes on the adjacent promenade. Here you will find massages, an outdorrgym, and a beach volleyball court. If you bring your own equipment you can surf, kite and windsurf here as well. Strangely, a water sports provider is not on site.

Lifeguards are always the bathers in mind, but you should take good care of yourself. The entry is rather steep here and the waves are quite strong. Especially small children should therefore not be left unattended.

Praia do Cabeço

The beach in front of Quarteira extends to about 650m and is a classic beach. The restaurant provides tourists with delicious regional specialties and fish, and there is also a singer here, who creates a pleasant atmosphere here. In addition, a small pool belongs to the restaurant, which you can use, should the waves be too strong. The beach is not a special feature and if you are not in Quarteira directly holiday, the journey is not worth it.

Praia do Loulé Velho

The Praia do Loulé Velho beach is the fourth on the large 17 km stretch of sand that stretches from the harbor in Quarteira to Faro airport. Here on the vast sandy area in front of a dune area with a pine forest prevails peace. At the central point there is everything you need to sweeten the beach day: loungers and umbrellas for hire, a restaurant with beach bar on the roof terrace, a massage hut and a bit of water sports. If you like it even quieter, you can also dodge into the border areas. The beach can either be reached on foot from one of the neighboring beaches, or by car. The parking lot is behind the small pine groves, from there a wooden walkway leads to the beach.

Praia do Trafal

This small section measures just under 700 m. As some archaeological investigations have shown, the Romans and Carthaginians settled here and lived from fishing. At that time, the sea level was much lower, and most of the ruins of their settlements can only be seen underwater today.

The adjacent dune landscape is hardly cultivated except for a golf resort. The beach is natural and has no infrastructure. Only a few people come here, so you can find plenty of parking even in the summer months. From time to time, a stranger with Bolos de Berlim and drinks, otherwise there is nothing, no beach chairs, no bar and restaurants. FKK-ler are welcome here and also a walk with his dog is nothing in the way.
