This year the popular sweet potato festival takes again place in Aljezur. The country’s best sweet potato is grown here and has the Protected Geographical Identification (PGI) seal of quality.
That is why you will find here all sorts of culinary delights that you have certainly not tasted so sure. In addition to the traditional sweet potato pastry, there are sweet potato chocolates, a liqueur, a compote, a brandy, ice cream, a hot drink and a refreshing and delicious craft beer.
Add to this the gastronomic offer, which includes 4 restaurants and 3 bars, but also an increased range of street food stalls and a snack area in the outer tent, which is lighter and “uncompromising” on Aljezur’s sweet potato.
The regional craftsmen are also represented here and offer their products. There are live cooking shows by renowned chefs and other entertainment spots.
The festival takes place on Friday and Saturday from 12.00 – 24.00 and on Sunday from 12.00 – 22.00.
Admission and parking are free.
